the adventurous route

Monday we saw it going in the tunnel and along the road that we were walking. On the top we had a look at our map and decided on a route across mountains, forest, lakes and then come back at the endstation to take the furnicular down. Of course that's not how it went... We ended up on a very adventurous path, first leading us to the snowy top of the highest mountain and then down again, following what looked more like a melting ice river than a hiking path. Our feet searched for rocks, patches of moss or even soft snow in order to stay upright. At times this was plainly impossible and we had no choice but to slide down the ice sitting on a plastic bag and getting wet gloves, which of course resulted in some hilarious situations! After getting back to town (not with the furnicular, though) we deserved a big glass of hot chocolate.
The rest of the activities in the past days comes down to visiting musea, dinner with Dinho, an organic lunch, chatting with people in the hostel, playing yahtzee and all the time walking outside: getting wet from the drizzling rain.
Wilbert is on his way home now and I will also be in a few hours. It has been nice.

Jaap:
I especially liked the part about the hot chocolate. I hope it was the vegetarian kind.
Thank you for sharing your photos. -
